WOTT: Special Olympics and Other Charitable Contributions
The World Oilman's Tennis Tournament has historically given back to the community through many different organizations. Beginning with the 2006 Tournament, WOTT selected Special Olympics as their primary charitable organization. Special Olympics set up a tent during the 2007 WOTT tournament and many of our participants were able to learn more about Special Olympics and how our WOTT funds have been able to assist them. They have continued to do this every year since. In addition to the tent, Special Olympics now provides a demonstration during the lunch time that is entertaining for all the participants.
In 2015, thanks to the generous support of our Sponsors, WOTT was able to surpass all previous annual contributions not only to Special Olympics but also to all the following charities:
Camp 4 All
Cristo Rey Jesuit
East West Ministries
The Houston Food Bank
National Jr. Tennis & Learning
Small Steps Nurturing Center
The Broach Foundation for Brain Cancer Research
The Richards Foundation

During the off season of 2006, WOTT supported the efforts of the Special Olympics. Several of the WOTT Board Members were able to participate in the tennis event with these very special tennis players.
